Fear The Walking Dead season 8 won’t be a part of AMC’s fall 2022 line-up. When can viewers expect it to return?
It’s going to be a sad day for TWD fans when that happens, but the good news is that it will live on in the form of its various upcoming spin-offs (which will carry on the stories of multiple TWD characters). Moreover, its original spin-off Fear The Walking Dead will return to screens for its eighth season.
The unfortunate part is that
Fear The Walking Dead
season 8 won’t be hitting screens this year. Yes,
‘s conclusion will leave a gap in the AMC schedule, but the cable network has confirmed that
isn’t returning just yet. The good news is that they also gave viewers an idea of when to expect it.
Fear The Walking Dead season 8 release date predictions
Fear The Walking Dead season 8 will premiere on AMC in 2023. A new behind-the-scenes promo for the upcoming season gives us a glimpse of filming, with the likes of Lennie James (Morgan) and Austin Amelio (Dwight) appearing on it, and it confirmed that the show would be back next year.
An exact window within 2023 has yet to be announced, but given that filming kicked off this summer, there is a strong possibility that the season will debut early in the year. And with TWD spinoff The Walking Dead: Dead City set to premiere in April 2023, there is a four month window for it to air at least the first half of its season (the show has split its season into two parts in recent years). Of course, that’s just a prediction and it’s always best to wait for official updates from AMC.
Season 8 will, of course, see the full-time return of Madison Clark, with Kim Dickens back in a series regular role. The character returned in the final episode of season 7 after years of fans calling for her return due to the questionable creative choice to write her out of the show. Needless to say, they are excited she is back.
