4.  Black Panther has spies all over the place

T’Challa has always been sneaky. He justifies it by saying that he does it for Wakanda and saying he’s thinking two moves ahead. It becomes a problem when he starts putting lives in danger. This happened in John Ridley’s current run of Black Panther.

T’Challa had Wakandans all over the world making sure that the governments and secret agencies of the world weren’t plotting against Wakanda. He even had someone on Arakko. Once the  Wakandan government and Storm found this out, his relationships were ruined. Not only did they leave him without their help, but they also lost respect for their former king. It didn’t help that more than a few of T’Challa’s operatives were killed during his secret mission. Now, T’Challa is all alone in the world.

3. Black Panther is no longer king

For centuries, the title of Black Panther came with being King or Queen of Wakanda. A tradition that was abolished during Ta-Nehisi Coates’ run of Black Panther. A move that shocked Marvel Comics fans. Thankfully, it was done well.

Black Panther: A Nation Under Our Feet showed Wakandans losing faith in the royal family. Some of them even called them tyrants. After a lot of discussion, it was decided that Wakanda would become a democracy. Currently, things aren’t the best. Nevertheless, starting new is never easy for a nation. Just ask Krakoa.
