Shazam: Fury Of The Gods marketing is officially underway
Shazam: Fury Of The Gods might not have been delayed until 2023, but the marketing campaign for the film is already underway.
On Nov. 7, Actor Zachary Levi who plays the titular character of Shazam or the Big Red Cheese, took to social media to unveil a new Shazam: Fury Of The Gods poster that officially means that marketing for the hit DC sequel is well underway.
“Mark your calendars, y’all! [Shazam: Fury Of The Gods] – wiser, stronger, faster, funnier, I mean, overall, cooler than the rest (and did we mention humble) coming ATCHA only in theaters on March 17,” Zachary Levi wrote on Twitter.
He also shared the new Shazam! 2 poster, which shows him flying by while standing on a motorized vehicle giving the “surf’s up” hand signal.

What to expect in Shazam: Fury Of The Gods
As of now, plot details are still under wraps, but the trailer footage does look to expand on the lore and flesh out the heart and humanity of this franchise while honoring the camp and lovable goof that allowed the original to shine and be somewhat perfect.
In addition to the Shazamily once again gracing the silver screen next year. Fans were thrilled to see Dwayne Johnson step on the silver screen as the iconic DC anti-hero Black Adam or “The Man In Black.” However, the film was quite enjoyable and did bring a sense of familiarity to the superhero genre, which was starting to go stale from over-saturation. But characters such as the JSA and Henry Cavill’s return as Superman could energize audiences. The once dormant passion that felt slightly confused and a bit stale now feels fresh. For example, the door for a potential showdown between Levi’s Shazam, Cavill, and Johnson to duke it out is starting to creak open.
DC is starting to find a rhythm under the guidance and direction of James Gunn and Peter Safran, which went into effect earlier this month. And while both are laying out a particular vision, achieving a soft reboot within the cinematic DC Comics landscape will be teased as the latest slate of films is released in theaters.
Shazam: Fury of the Gods continues the story of teenage Billy Batson who, upon reciting the magic word “SHAZAM!,” is transformed into his adult Super Hero alter ego, Shazam.
