The MCU is the most popular franchise in the entire world, so it was only a matter of time before LEGO Masters brought it in for a challenge, and we have an exclusive clip from the upcoming “Marvel Masters” episode.

LEGO Masters season 3 is currently airing on Fox. Hosted by Will Arnett, the show sees two-person teams build LEGO projects based on each episode’s given challenge, which are then judged by LEGO employees and expert Brickmasters Jamie Berard and Amy Corbett. And this week, a special episode will see the remaining teams take on the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

With five teams left, they will have 12 hours to re-create their favorite action packed moment from the MCU, choosing a LEGO minifigure to represent their scene along the way.

LEGO Masters was kind enough to share an exciting, exclusive clip from the upcoming episode “Marvel Masters” with Bam Smack Pow, featuring Firefighters Stephen Cassley and Stephen Joo.

You can watch it below:

As teased in the video above, Stephen Cassley is a huge Marvel fan, and he was thrilled about the idea of a Marvel challenge on LEGO Masters, saying:

"“LEGO Masters doing a Marvel challenge?!? Are you kidding me?!? This was the best challenge I could’ve ever hoped for and, man, am I thankful we lasted long enough to see it! I have been reading comic books since I was a kid, I’ve seen every MCU movie at least 3 times, I cosplay my favorite characters at comic conventions (like Beast, Colossus, Cable, Apocalypse, and my personal favorite, Thanos), and I am not shy about sharing my passion for all things Marvel with everyone I know.”"

He also loved that the show gave him a chance to bring his two passions together, adding:

"“Having the opportunity to build a Marvel scene from one of the MCU films is a dream come true. It’s surreal that I got to bring two of my greatest passions under one banner and I could not be happier that this challenge exists.”"

Mr. Cassley wasn’t the only one excited about the challenge. Firefighters are like real life superheroes, and his partner, Stephen Joo, opened up about some of the heroic things a firefighter does:

"“In addition to the regular job functions a firefighter does at work, there are a number of off duty things like charities that firefighters often help out with. In Calgary one of the biggest charities we help run is the Calgary Firefighters Burn Treatment Society which helps fund research and buy equipment imperative to the survival of people who are burned. For this charity there is no bigger fundraiser than the annual Firefighters HotStuff calendar."

The Firefighters HotStuff calendar was mentioned in the clip above, with Stephen’s photo showcased. Stephen explains the importance of the calendar and opens up a little more about the photo:

"“Generally speaking the younger, newer firefighters are the ones that volunteer for this calendar photo shoot. In my case this photo was from 20 years ago in my rookie year! As you can tell by my fresh face and frosted tips I was a much younger man. And, keep in mind this was long enough ago that photoshop and filters weren’t a thing! But despite the obvious teasing that happens from coworkers, family, and friends like Will, the benefit to the charity is far reaching and it’s a fun way to give back. Even all these years later this picture still pops up around firehalls and, now, TV studios but every time I see it, it reminds me of how much I still love my job and helping others.”"

In order to build their re-created scenes, LEGO Masters contestants have a choice of over 5 million LEGO pieces that range across 3,300 unique LEGO pieces. All of these pieces weigh about 22,000 pounds as well.

This season of LEGO Masters premiered on September 21, with 24 contestants competing for a cash prize of $100,000, there are 5 teams of 2 left in the competition.

This episode of LEGO Masters, “Marvel Masters”, premieres on Fox on Thursday, November 24, at 9/8c.
