Rosita Espinosa

Oh Rosita, you deserved so much better.

Rosita Espinosa debuted in The Walking Dead during its fourth season and went on to become one of the show’s most important – and enduring – characters. Originally a part of a team with Eugene and Abraham, she quickly became a fan-favorite part of the show, with her badass persona and survival instinct endearing her to fans, before she joined up with the show’s main group of survivors.

Seven seasons later, she was still fighting alongside her friends, to protect loved ones (including her own daughter Coco) from harm. Unfortunately, in the series finale, that meant battling a horde of Walkers that invaded the Commonwealth. While Rosita successfully managed to protect her loved ones, she was bitten by a walker. And, after the fighting was over and the Commonwealth safe, she passed away peacefully in bed, surrounded by those loved ones.

To say that Rosita deserved a happy ending would be an understatement and it still makes us so sad that she won’t get to see her daughter grow up in the beautiful, safer world she helped build for her.
