Margot Robbie wants a Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy romance

Margot Robbie wants a Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy romantic relationship.
It was obvious that Margot Robbie was going to be a great Harley Quinn in the first DCEU project she appeared in. Her performance was a shining star in the darkness that was the first Suicide Squad. Thankfully, she managed to excel in another project. She continued to be fantastic in Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of one Harley Quinn) and again in The Suicide Squad. There’s no reason why she shouldn’t continue being Harley. Especially since the character in the comics and her animated series remain extremely popular.
Right now, it remains unclear if we will see Margot Robbie in another project as Harley Quinn. Warner Bros. Discovery has been unpredictable this past year, so no matter how well liked she is, there’s no guarantee we’ll see the star return as Harley any time soon. However, if you’re a fan of her playing Harley, there’s some good news for you.
During an interview with ComicBook.com, Margot was asked about her Harley Quinn character having a romantic interest. She responded by saying she wants to see the Harley and Poison Ivy romance in the DCEU too. She said:
"“I have been pushing for that for years. I cannot tell you how hard I’ve been pushing for that. I want it too…”"
Harley and Poison Ivy’s relationship is one of the most positive and popular relationships in any genre. They love and support each other in ways that aren’t normally seen. It was even better since Harley left her toxic relationship with the Joker. Since then, “Harlivy” has been relationship goals. Even if you’ve never read the comics, you can observe how great the relationship is in Harley Quinn on HBO Max.
The DCEU has been on the wrong end of a lot of jokes and memes since it’s had trouble getting off the ground, but if we’re being honest, the last few DC Comics projects have been good. The Suicide Squad, Peacemaker, Shazam, and Black Adam were all good projects. At the very least they were fun. Bringing this power couple of Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy to the screen would add more to an already growing DCEU. All they have to do is cast the right person. And, as we’ve seen, casting has never been an issue for DC Comics.
