7. Wonder Woman and the Amazons

Wonder Woman is one of the most important characters in comic book history. This is a fact. She was one of the first women superheroes to get a solo comic book series and a TV show. Without her influence and being the epitome of strength and fighting for peace, comics wouldn’t be what they are today. Captain Marvel, Storm, and many others wouldn’t have solo series if it wasn’t for her. This, on top of her popularity, is why Wonder Woman should be a high priority for DC Comics’ movie universe.

Wonder Woman has the ability to headline a movie or a TV show (she’s done both already). Her background is complex enough to do either. Since her origin isn’t as well known as Batman or Superman, a project showing her being raised by Amazons and training would be an interesting story. Plus, fans could get a look at other Amazons like Artemis of Bana-Mighdall and Nubia.

There’s an entire world on Themyscira that hasn’t been explored yet. That includes Hippolyta, the Greek Gods, and the lore of the Amazon. Imagine an entire TV show dedicated to all of this. It’s all but a guaranteed success. The right creative team would turn this franchise into a must watch franchise. It may not even need to be part of the DCEU.

Regardless of what happens to the original Wonder Woman franchise led by Gal Gadot, Wonder Woman’s story must continue.
