The very best that the comic book TV and superhero TV world has to offer.

What a year it’s been for the entertainment world. For the TV landscape, 2022 saw the earth-shattering return of Stranger Things, the record-breaking debut of House of the Dragon, and the attention-grabbing arrival of Wednesday on Netflix. Yeah, it’s been a major year,

For the comic book TV world, we also saw plenty of new additions on the board, with Marvel Studios choosing to produce three new outings in their ever-growing Disney Plus catalog of Marvel Cinematic Universe shows, and even the DC Extended Universe getting in on the action with HBO Max’s Peacemaker.

It wasn’t all epic one-liners and action scenes, though, as we also lost a number of beloved staples of the comic book TV world, with Arrowverse veterans BatwomanDC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and DC’s Stargirl all falling victim to the sale at The CW (and a number of other DC shows and movies getting cancelled before they were even made).

Comic book TV fans have seen a lot this year. But which of that content was the best? Let’s take a look back at the year of 2022, and pick the 10 best comic book TV shows that entertained us.

Note: With the exception of The Walking Dead (which aired the vast majority of its final season this year), this list does not include seasons that began airing in 2021. If it did, both DC’s Legends of Tomorrow season 7 and Batwoman season 3 would have been on it.
