10 best comic book TV shows of 2022, ranked
10. She-Hulk: Attorney At Law
Marvel Studios wanted to try something different with its Disney Plus shows that would set them apart from their cinematic outings. WandaVision excelled on that front, using the TV medium to its advantage, and She-Hulk: Attorney At Law tried to build on that by becoming the MCU’s first full-blown sitcom.
It divided Marvel fans because of how different it was, but the critical consensus is that it was effective in its mission to give us something different and make us laugh. And it really does just that, providing viewers with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and allowing us to revel in Tatiana Maslany’s electric performance as the Jade Giantess. If all of She-Hulk’s adventures are like this one, we’re in for a fun ride!
9. DC’s Titans
Titans staged an impressive comeback last year with its third season that made up for previous shortcomings. However, the longer the season went on, the more that the cracks started to show. We’re only halfway through season 4 and, well, dare we say it, it is shaping up to be its strongest season yet.
This writer will certainly admit that he once thought Titans is at its best when it focuses on more grounded stories, but a return to the supernatural in season 4 with the rise of Brother Blood has been unexpectedly welcome, with the show using this opportunity to build more focused character stories.
Oh yeah, and Joseph Morgan is absolutely outstanding.
