A new season of Superman and Lois is coming in early 2023, just don’t expect Superman and Lois season 3 to premiere in January.

The new year is nearly upon us and there are some great shows coming our way as 2023 gets underway. Sadly, Superman and Lois won’t be one of them.

Ahead of January’s arrival, The CW confirmed its programming slate for the month which will bring with it new episodes of its many hit series including All American, Walker, and more. One show that was noticeably missing from the network’s January schedule is Superman and Lois, which won’t be making its return at the top of the new year.

The move is definitely disappointing given the fact that many fans had hoped the new season would be coming in the first month of the new year, following the same release strategy taken with season 2. Instead, the show will be returning to The CW’s lineup a bit later into the new year, but fortunately not too late.

Superman and Lois season 3 release date

As confirmed by The CW, Superman and Lois season 3 will premiere on Tuesday, March 14 at 8/7c as part of a superhero block which will see the show paired with Gotham Knights. The March release date is much later than many fans had anticipated, but does line up with when we’ve seen midseason shows arrive on The CW.

With season 3 arriving a bit later than expected, it’s possible we could see the show take fewer breaks in its schedule which would be a welcome change. One thing many fans expressed a dislike of last season was how many times the show took random breaks between episodes which made it hard to keep up at times with the season’s key storylines.
