The fourth episode of Doom Patrol brought back Dorothy, Danny, and Maura Lee Karupt. As expected, things weren’t all parties. Well, it started with a party. It is Danny after all. However, things quickly go left when Torminox and his Vectra crew show up (this show has some weird villains).

Thankfully, before Dorothy and Maura Lee Karupt could be turned into Torminox’s goons, SpaceCase shows up and saves the day. The weird(er) is Space Case and Torminox came from one of Dorothy’s comic books.

Torminox came for Dorothy’s necklace. When she was threatened, Dorothy brought out Candlemaker. Unlike the previous times, Candlemaker was easily defeated by Torminox. A feat that we didn’t think was possible.

In the end, this episode was very much like Doom Patrol. There will be fighting, cursing, and random nonsense. However, there are also deep and emotional moments. Instead of winning with fists, Dorothy used her words. She may have lost something that reminded her of her father, but she got her friends back. Dorothy is also starting a new adventure with Space Case by her side.

At first, it seemed like this story wasn’t connected to the previous episode. We should have known better. Torminox was working for Dr. Janus. He brought Dorothy’s necklace back to her just as Dr. Jace said, “Immortus shall rise.” Torminox is working for her in hopes that it will give him his old life back when he looked human and he was happy with his daughter (Space Case). Originally, this writer thought that Immortus referred to the General. With the necklace in play, it could mean the return of Niles Caulder and the Immortus Initiative.
