Is Daredevil: Born Again season 1 coming in 2023?

Daredevil: Born Again is one of the most anticipated new Marvel shows on the horizon. Can MCU fans expect the first half of the debut season this year?

Matt Murdock is officially canon in the MCU. Better yet, Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock is officially canon in the MCU.

The veteran actor portrayed the character in Netflix’s hard-hitting, universally-acclaimed Daredevil series for three seasons, but he finally debuted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Spider-Man: No Way Home before having a more substantial role in She-Hulk: Attorney At Law.

He’s set to get a starring role in the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again series – a new Disney Plus series that will also feature the return of Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin. As exciting as that is, be prepared for a bit of a wait.

Is Daredevil: Born Again coming out in 2023?

No, Daredevil: Born Again won’t be part of Marvel’s line-up of shows on Disney Plus in 2023. There are multiple MCU shows expected to premiere this year, but Matt Murdock’s headlining adventure isn’t part of that line-up and will instead premiere next year.

In the meantime, you can get your Marvel fill from shows such as Secret Invasion, Loki season 2 and Ironheart, with What If…? season 2, Echo and Agatha: Coven of Chaos potentially coming this year too.

Daredevil: Born Again release updates

Daredevil: Born Again is set to premiere on Disney Plus in Spring 2024. Kevin Feige announced the show and its release window at San Diego Comic-Con back in July when he unveiled what titles were coming in Phases 5 and 6 of the MCU. As it’s going to be the longest Marvel Studios series thus far (running for 18 episodes), the first season is expected to be split into two parts of nine.

It goes without saying that Marvel fans are super excited to see Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio back sharing the screen in their respective roles, and given Marvel Studios’ track record, they are expecting big things from the Disney Plus series.
