Fear The Walking Dead will end with season 8 (Here’s when it’s coming out)
Fear The Walking Dead season 8 is coming this year, but the zombie drama will return to bow out as it has been revealed that the eighth season will be its last.
Fear The Walking Dead is coming back to screens for its eighth season this year. The zombie drama is officially the Walking Dead Universe‘s longest-running series. Unfortunately, we have some other news too: Season 8 will be its last.
As reported by TVLine, the news was confirmed by AMC, along with the confirmation of when the eighth and final season will premiere. Turns out that, like the two previous seasons, Fear season 8 will be split into two halves, with the first one of them leading into one of the new TWD Universe shows.
Fear The Walking Dead season 8 release date
The first half of Fear The Walking Dead season 8 will premiere on Sunday, May 14, at 9:00 p.m. ET. Yes, it’s still holding that legendary Sunday night slot that the TWD Universe is known for. It will then air part 1 across six weeks, leading into The Walking Dead: Dead City.
The second part of the final season will be held until later this year, likely premiering in fall 2023, and perhaps leading into other new spinoff The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.
The news of its impending end will come as a blow to fans excited about the new era of the TWD Universe and how it will now expand after the conclusion of the main show. It will also be a shock to choose tuning back in to see Madison Clark, who seemingly returned from the dead in the previous season after years of fans calling for the show to bring Kim Dickens back.
It’s great that she’ll be present for its conclusion, but it’s sad that it will also be leaving our screens.
