Will there be a new episode of Doom Patrol season 4 tonight on HBO Max?
If this season of Doom Patrol started and finished in 2022, this writer would have given it the TV show of the year. Not just in the comic book genre. Doom Patrol balances a creative dose of cursing, shenanigans, and heartwarming moments. This is on top of character development that’s better than most shows. The first half of this season was no different.
In the first half of Doom Patrol season 4, there were more Zombie Butts and characters physically regressing in age. All of that didn’t stop the sentimental moments like Jane and Cliff sharing another deep moment. Their relationship is one of the driving forces of the show.
The question is: Is more Doom Patrol on the way this week?
Is Doom Patrol new tonight, January 12?
No, Doom Patrol won’t be airing a new episode today. HBO Max steramed the midseason finale last week, so it will be off screens for some time to come.
HBO Max follows a tight schedule with their shows. Moreover, The Climb and Velma are both debuting on the streamer on January 12. Another episode of Doom Patrol would disrupt what HBO Max already has planned. Plus, it’s a good idea to let the fans anticipate the rest of the season after the finale.
It’s unfortunate that the first half of the season is over. It’s more disappointing that fans will have to wait a while before the second half of season 4 premieres. But the good news is that it will be back for the second half of its season sometime this year. This was confirmed in an HBO Max trailer.
We don’t know what the future holds for the show past season 4 part 2 because of all the uncertainty with Warner Bros. Discovery right now, but we do know that it will be back with new episodes from the remaining half of its season. Hopefully, Doom Patrol at the very least gets a season finale worthy of their greatness.
