The Last of Us cast: Who’s in the new HBO series?
The Last of Us is HBO’s new post-apocalyptic series and it could be this year’s first major hit. But who are the stars in the video game-adapted show?
If you had to pick 2023’s most anticipated TV shows, there’s a pretty high chance that The Last of Us would find itself firmly at the top of that list.
It’s not just because it’s a HBO series, either. While the cable channel is known for its juggernaut critical smash-hits, The Last of Us already has a built-in fanbase because of the incredibly successful video game franchise it’s based on.
The show’s debut is almost upon us and if you’ve seen the promotional material leading up to that premiere, you’ll probably know that it has also got quite a few familiar faces in it. Familiar faces that you might want to tune in to see. On that note, here’s who is in the cast and who they are playing.
The Last of Us cast
Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian, Wonder Woman 1984, Game of Thrones) and Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones) will play the primary characters Joel and Ellie. As a result, they are the only two series regulars in the show. That said, they aren’t the only two cast members we’ll be seeing on a somewhat regular basis.

As Joel and Ellie are the main characters in the video games, Pascal and Ramsey are expected to appear throughout all of the episodes. Meanwhile, other actors will show up in specific episodes or recur throughout.
