Anticipation was high going into The Last of Us, and it’s pretty safe to say that the HBO drama series has thus far lived up to the hype.
Based on the iconic Naughty Dog video game saga of the same name, the Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey-led show premiered almost one week after the overwhelmingly positive reviews set high expectations. But high expectations were always on the cards because of how beloved the video game already is.

The Last of Us episode 2 is titled “Infected”, and judging by that title, it will likely delve into the mystery surrounding Ellie and why the Fireflies are so intent on getting her out of the safe zone and away from FEDRA.
As the first episode was so focused on exploring the origins of Joel and the incredibly quick expansion of the infection, it seems that the second episode will likely be where the premise of the show/game really kicks into gear.
It may also explore the infection more, the logistics of it, and why it apparently hasn’t affected Ellie in any way whatsoever.
