The Last of Us is back with episode 2. Here’s how you can watch the second episode of the first season, “Infected”, online. 

The series premiere of The Last of Us debuted on HBO and HBO Max last week, and it was met with high marks from the gaming community and new fans.

This used to be a rare occurrence. Lately, the creative teams behind TV and movie adaptations have been staying as close to the source material as possible. As we’re seeing in The Last of Us, that’s proving to be a smart strategy. In one episode, viewers learned the plot of the show and who the main characters are. However, if you’ve never played the game, you haven’t seen anything yet.

First, don’t get attached to anyone in The Last of Us. As you’ll know if you played the game, this is very much like Game of Thrones. No one is safe. Just when you start to like someone, they could die or become infected.

Second, a lot of the characters are probably going to surprise you. Sometimes this will be a good thing. They start off gruff and end up having a heart of gold. At the very least you’ll understand why they are who they are. On the flip side, you’ll learn not to trust anyone. Especially people who say they come in peace.

As far as streaming goes, The Last of Us is a HBO Max-exclusive series, so episode 2 of season 1 – and the rest of the season – can only be viewed on the paid subscription service itself in the U.S (HBO Max).
