Agatha: Coven of Chaos set photo reveals a huge potential change to the MCU show

Agatha: Coven of Chaos is currently in production but a new development suggests that a huge change may be in store for the MCU series.

Marvel’s catalog of Disney Plus shows will continue to expand in the years ahead. Multiple new and returning Marvel Cinematic Universe shows are set to air on the streaming service this year, but more are in development for 2024 and 2025.

One show initially planned for release this year but that may get delayed is Agatha: Coven of Chaos. The WandaVision spinoff starring Kathryn Hahn (who reprises her role as Agatha Harkness) has commenced filming in Atlanta, Georgia but recent rumors suggest that it may be delayed until 2024 (or even 2025).

Regardless, the first set photos of the show have surfaced and one of them teases a major (and quite frankly unexpected) change.

Is Agatha: Coven of Chaos changing its title again?

As reported by The Direct, a set photo posted by Heartstopper‘s Joe Locke on his Instagram story (which can be viewed here) confirmed that filming had begun on Agatha: Coven of Chaos and it quickly sent the internet into meltdown. But it wasn’t just because the popular actor was on set, or that the show had started filming. No, it also had to do with the fact that the cast chair he shared a picture of had the title Agnes of Westview printed onto it.

Naturally, this has left fans wondering if Agatha: Coven of Chaos has undergone a name change. It wouldn’t be the first time that the Marvel Studios series has changed its name, as it was originally titled Agatha: House of Harkness, but could this really be the show’s new title?

There’s a lot to consider here. For starters, more set photos have confirmed that at least part of the show is set in Westview – the same setting as WandaVision – so it is possible that the show has opted for Agnes of Westview. However, that could also be a working title used for production (much like the as-of-yet untitled Godzilla vs. Kong was nicknamed Godzilla and Kong during its production).

We’ll have to wait and see. Is Agnes headlining the show, or has it always been Agatha all along?
