5. Zoe Saldaña as Hawkgirl

The thought of Zoe Saldaña jumping ship from the Marvel Cinematic Universe to the DC Universe is an exciting one, especially in the role Kendra Saunders, also known as Hawkgirl. Saldaña is no stranger to the world of superhero films, having played Gamora in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, and fans have long been clamoring to see her take on a new role in the genre.

Kendra Saunders is a character that has been long overlooked in live-action adaptations. However, with James Gunn at the helm of the DC Universe, fans can expect to see some fresh and exciting takes on characters that have been previously underutilized. Saldaña would bring a unique energy and intensity to the role of Hawkgirl, making her a formidable force in the DCU.

One of the most exciting things about Saldaña joining the DCU as Hawkgirl is the potential for her to have great chemistry with Aldis Hodge, who played Hawkman in Black Adam. The two characters have a rich history in the comics, and it would be thrilling to see them brought to life on the big screen. Yes, their performances as Kendra and Carter would be electric.

The Latina hero deserves some live-action love, and Saldaña would be the perfect choice to bring the character to life. With her talent and versatility, Saldaña would be able to fully embody the character and bring the right mix of strength, vulnerability and badassery to the role of Kendra Saunders. Look no further than her role in Columbiana and of course Avatar as more proof.
