Hawkman can become a household name

The DCU could maximize what we saw in Hawkman in Black Adam. The seasoned vet in Black Adam, a hard-nosed leader who wasn’t feeling Black Adam’s way of justice. Hawkman has an origin story that would make for a great movie.

There was a Black Panther vibe to the hero in Black Adam. There’s a lot of depth to explore with a hero that spans millenniums. Aldis Hodge is a superstar in the making, and he killed it as Carter Hall, so why not give him a solo movie? Focusing on Hawkman would also bring Hawkgirl to the fold, and they both will introduce Vandal Savage to the DCU.

One of the best comic book stories for a Hawkman film would be Hawkworld by Tim Truman, John Ostrander, and Graham Nolan. This story was a re-imagining of the Hawkman character and his origin, set on the distant planet Thanagar, where he was a police officer fighting against corruption and injustice.

The story delves into the politics and society of Thanagar, as well as the complicated relationship between Carter Hall and Shiera Sanders, his love interest and fellow crime fighter. It also introduced the villain Byth Rok, who serves as a major antagonist for the Hawkman and Hawkgirl characters. Hawkworld won multiple awards and was critically acclaimed for its deep storytelling, world-building, and character development. A movie is easy money.
