Harley Quinn: The Animated Series: Legion of Bats! comic book series will affect Harley and Ivy’s relationship in the HBO Max series.

Harley Quinn on HBO Max has been a triumph for DC Comics and Warner Bros. First, it’s a fantastic show. The storytelling and character development kept viewers watching weekly. Second, there’s replay value. You’ll tune in a second time and notice something you didn’t the first time. Plus, the jokes are still funny.

It’s unfortunate that fans have to wait a while for the next season to debut. Luckily, Tee Franklin has continued the Harley and Poison Ivy story in a DC Comics series.

Season 2 ended with Harley and Poison Ivy being chased by the police. That leads into Tee Franklin’s Harley Quinn: The Animated Series: The Eat. Bang! Kill Tour. Now, after season 3, the story is continuing with the Harley Quinn: The Animated Series: Legion of Bats! comic book series. Like the first volume, the story picks up where Harley Quinn left off. This time with the Bat-Family heroically jumping off a roof and Harley looking on. As the series continues, readers see that Harley and Ivy have secrets that put their love life in danger.

Harley and Ivy’s secrets

Harley Quinn is doing her best to stay on the side of good. However, Ivy doesn’t know her lady is working with the Bat-Family. She even helped stop Bane and a kidnapping later on. Harley told Ivy about the latter, but she still feels guilty. Meanwhile, Ivy had drinks with her ex-girlfriend, Bella Garten. Nothing happened, but Ivy didn’t tell Harley that she was in contact with her ex.

Harley and Ivy have hid things from one another before, but it’s usually feelings that revolve around their insecurities and eventually they sort through their issues. This is different and one secret isn’t worse than the other. Harley’s could ruin Ivy’s professional life. She just became the leader of the Legion of Doom. If the Bat-Family attacks the Legion of Doom, Harley will have to make a decision about whether or not she’s a villain.

Meanwhile, Ivy not telling Harley about Bella could crush Harley emotionally. Ivy is the one person that she trusts more than anyone. Including herself. Losing that could send her spiraling back into a life of violent crime.

Harley Quinn Valentine’s Day Special

The Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine’s Day Special will continue while the comic book series is going on. This means the drama in Tee Franklin’s series will likely be part of the special. That means Bella Garten could be involved. Even though the majority of the episode will revolve around HarlIvy stopping the…love potion that Ivy sprayed on Gotham, Bella could remain hidden until the end of the episode.

The synopsis of the finale issue of Harley Quinn: The Animated Series: Legion of Bats! teases that Harley and Ivy still have their secrets, so we’ll see. Either way, both the comic and the show will lead into season 4 of Harley Quinn on HBO Max. Viewers and readers cold be looking at a heartbreaking conclusion going into season 4.
