The Flash returned to The CW for the first time in over six months to kicks off its ninth and final season this week. It’s a bittersweet time to be a fan of the show, because it means preparing for its conclusion but also celebrating its incredible legacy.

Season 9 has placed a long overdue focus on Barry and Iris West-Allen’s relationship, actually allowing the married couple to share some screen-time together. That has set the stage for their next adventure, which they are going to take on together.

The Flash season 9 episode 2 release date

The Flash season 9 episode 2, titled “Hear No Evil”, will air on The CW on Wednesday, February 15, at 8:00 p.m. ET. The show was initially a staple of Tuesday nights, holding that timeslot for its first seven seasons before it was moved to Wednesday nights for its eighth season.

According to its official synopsis, this episode will see Barry wrestle with what happened to Caitlin. You might remember that in the previous season, he destroyed her lab as she was attempting to bring Frost back to life. That seemingly didn’t happen, but somebody – or something – else emerged from that chamber, changing Caitlin’s life in the process.

We’ll also see the Red Death make their presence felt in Central City in this episode, and Joe and Cecile will have a conversation that garners some strong feelings from the latter.
