The Last of Us episode 5 runtime: How long is episode 5?
The Last of Us episode 5 streams on HBO Max and airs HBO this weekend. It’s a big episode but just how long will viewers be watching it for?
The Last of Us has had quite varying runtimes thus far, and we’re only four episodes in. But regardless of whether we’re sitting in front of our TV screens for 45 minutes or 85 minutes, we are enthralled by the HBO series.
If you watched the fourth episode last Sunday and are craving another one, you’ll be happy to know that the fifth episode is being released two days early on HBO Max and HBO On Demand. While it will still air on HBO on Sunday night, the decision was made to release it earlier to avoid losing momentum by having it go up against the Super Bowl. Now, fans have the option to watch it whenever they want over the weekend.
If you are planning on checking it out and would like to know how long episode 5 is, here’s what you need to know.
How long is The Last of Us episode 5?
The Last of Us episode 5, titled “Endure and Survive”, has a runtime of 61 minutes. That’s a pretty average runtime for HBO dramas, and when compared to previous episodes it lands in the middle. The first and third episodes were essentially mini-movies, running for around 85 minutes each, while episodes 2 and 4 had shorter runtimes of around 50 minutes.
This is set to be a major episode, and not just because it’s hitting HBO Max earlier than all the rest. As the trailers and promotional material revealed, we’re being introduced to some terrifying new monsters in this one. Adding to that, we’ll find out who the people who confronted Joel and Ellie at the end of the previous episode are, and learn more about the mysterious Kathleen.
