Chicago Bears – Heimdall
It’s been a while since the Chicago Bears were feared the way they were in the 1980s. Back then, Walter Payton and William Perry struck terror into the hearts of their opponents. Despite not being the franchise they once were, their fans remain loyal. The Bears’ culture is loyal. You’d need someone who’s willing to stand tall even when things look hopeless. I nominate the all-seeing god Heimdall for that role.
Before he was killed, Heimdall was the most faithful of all the Asgardians. He knew that even in defiance, his actions protected Asgard. Like “Da Bears” fans, Heimdall is committed to the cause. It would be a mistake to underestimate the Bears despite their track record. You could end up on the wrong end of a blowout.
The Bears were also known for having incredible defensive players. We’ve mentioned William Perry, but there was also Dick Butkus. Two players who took pride in defending their territory. Heimdall took pride in his job just like they did. Heimdall’s job isn’t a glorious one, neither is defense in football. However, both are crucial parts of their teams. Without them, the Bears wouldn’t have been successful and Asgard would have been destroyed.
