Pittsburgh Steelers – Iron Man

The Pittsburgh Steelers are a culture made of tough legendary players. You have popular former Steelers like Terry Bradshaw and “Mean” Joe Green who’ve made it to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Ben Roethlisberger and TJ Watt are players who will both be Hall of Fame candidates in the future.

He may not be made of steel, but Iron Man is the pick here. Iron Man is the most legendary character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Like Iron Man, the Steelers always seem to be one of the more relevant teams. You can never quite count them out of the playoffs and Super Bowl race. Since the Steelers get their name from what was once their main source of income, it seemed appropriate to pair them with Iron Man. We’ve seen Tony Stark get his hands dirty to make his armor so this fits.

Iron Man would be beloved as a Steelers fan. The type of trash he would talk on ESPN would be legendary. There are two problems with this. First, while Stark will work with his hands, he’s not exactly blue-collar. Second, I doubt the people of Pittsburgh want their new colors to be red and yellow. Especially after Wiz Khalifa did that song after the Steelers won the Super Bowl.
