Kevin Feige isn’t one to typically let secrets slip, but he might have just confirmed the return of a breakout Marvel character!

In recent years, there has been a lot more uncertainty regarding the future of Marvel characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe than ever before. While in the past, it was easy to track when characters would next appear and know where their journeys would take them within Marvel’s movie slate, it’s gotten far more difficult to know what the future holds for most characters these days.

Although Marvel has teased that various characters will return, they’ve not exactly been forthcoming with confirming how or even these characters might next appear within the MCU. This has led to a lot of uncertainty regarding how certain characters from the more recent phases of the MCU will factor into the larger narrative.

Shang-Chi, She-Hulk, Moon Knight, the Eternals, Kate Bishop, Scarlet Scarab, and Werewolf by Night are just a few examples of heroes who have recently made their MCU debuts in projects whose futures remain very much in the air following their debut projects. The door might have been left open for their return to the MCU, but the details for how and when remain a major mystery. In fact, some even question whether we’ll see the characters again at any point in the MCU.

With so much mystery surrounding the fate of Marvel’s newest heroes, all eyes have been on Marvel mastermind Kevin Feige who surprisingly seems to have actually confirmed one hero’s looming return.

Will we see Moon Knight again in the MCU? (Kevin Feige drops major update)

Marvel might not yet have renewed Moon Knight for a second season or formally announced Oscar Issac’s return as Marc Spector/Steven Grant, but it seems Moon Knight is a character Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has plans to bring back into the fold.

In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Feige reflected on some of Marvel’s more recent projects including its Disney+ original series. When looking back at some of the studios’ successes, Feige was quick to comment about his excitement for Kamala Khan’s return in The Marvels and how the character steals the show. However, his more interesting revealation was the fact that there are plans to bring Moon Knight back into the fold as well.

“The fun thing about streaming is they are there forever, and people can keep re-exploring them. Moon Knight, same thing. I think there’s a future for that character as we move forward,” Feige commented when discussing takeaways from recent projects.

The comment might seem simple enough, but as we’ve seen Feige is always careful with his choice of words so the fact that he name-dropped Moon Knight as being a character that has a future in the MCU moving forward seems to be about as close as we’ve gotten to confirmation that the character will return. What will be interesting is to see how exactly he might next appear in the MCU as Feige never specified whether he saw a future in the movies or TV medium.

Either way, knowing Moon Knight is a character Kevin Feige has plans for in the future is welcome news for fans of the character and show who have been eagerly waiting to know what could be coming next for Oscar Issac’s beloved hero.
