Ant-Man movies in order: How to watch the MCU Ant-Man films

Ant-Man is a staple of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. If you’re planning on checking out his and The Wasp’s MCU movies, here’s the order to watch them in.

Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) instantly made his way into the hearts and minds of Marvel Cinematic Universe fans all across the world when he made his MCU debut back in 2015. And he wasn’t the only one, as fans also quickly fell in love with Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly), Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Cassie Lang.

Ant-Man was a resounding success for Marvel Studios, grossing over half a billion dollars at the box office, which was outstanding for a character that wasn’t all that well-known to the mainstream audiences. Now, though, he’s a household name, and one of the two leads of his own franchise.

With the third movie in that franchise now on its way to movie theaters, Quantumania will take the saga in new directions, doing the same for the whole MCU as well. If you’d like to know more about Scott and the “Ant-Fam”, here’s how you can watch all of their movies in order.

Ant-Man movies in order

With the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, there are now three movies featuring the title characters in the MCU saga. The first of those was released in 2015, while the second one was released three years later in 2018. This third one is the biggest of them all, and it is more important to the wider MCU than the previous two were.

Here’s how to watch the movies without the other important MCU installments that feature at least one of the title characters:

• Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018)
• Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023)

Again, it’s important to remember that these movies exist within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. So, while they do tell their own stories involving their own characters, the “Ant-Fam” story is connected to the wider MCU in other installments of the saga.

Ant-Man movies in order with Avengers

Paul Rudd made his debut appearance as Scott Lang in Ant-Man but that introduced him to the MCU as well. Thus, he appeared as the character in other movies outside of the franchise that were tied to the overarching story of the MCU, as the Avengers tried to stop Thanos from destroying the universe.

* Even though none of the Ant-Family actually appear in it, we’d recommend watching Avengers: Infinity War as it’s imperative to the MCU story and makes Endgame much easier to understand.
