14. Marcus and Maria

Comic book: Deadly class

Marcus and Maria were victims. They were high school sweethearts in an environment (King’s Dominion) where they weren’t meant to be happy. They broke up, tried to hurt each other, got back together, and cheated on each other. They end up finding each other as adults. This is where they showed what relationships are made of.

Maria was exactly what Marcus needed. Sometimes he couldn’t get past his morbid outlook on life. When he got too deep into his bad thoughts, Maria pulled him back. She reminded him of the beauty in the world. Without her, he’d be lost in a world where negativity is around every corner. She continued to do that for him because he never gave up on her. This is easily the most underrated relationship on this list. It’s great that they got the happy ending they deserved.

13. Zenzele and Tosawhi

Comic book: Deadly Class

These two characters couldn’t be more different. They’re from different parts of the world, don’t like the same things, and don’t even want the same things out of life. However, they met and were inseparable. It took a while for them to develop a loving relationship, but, when it happened, it was amazing.

Zenzele brought positivity into Tosawhi’s life (and he needed it). Tosawhi gave Zenzele a smile and never judged her (something no one had given her). On top of that, they were each other’s safe space. This writer never would have thought they’d make it. Yet, at the end of Deadly Class, they were still together.
