15 best comic book romances of all time

6. Wolverine and Domino
Comic book: New X-Men Annual No. 1, X-Force: Sex and Violence
They may not have officially been a couple, but Wolverine and Domino’s relationship was hot and heavy. The two mutants first got together during New X-Men Annual No. 1. Logan proposed a meet up after a mission. Domino agreed and called it, “No-strings animal passion.” Years later in X-Force: Sex and Violence, Domino knew that Logan still wanted her, “in a bad way.” They went on to have a passionate and physical affair for a little while.
Logan and Domino currently work together on X-Force. After everything that’s going on with Wolverine, it wouldn’t be shocking if Logan and Domino became a couple again. They’re both losing faith in Krakoa thanks to Hank McCoy. This couple would make sense. Of all the people Logan has been with, no one would understand him like Domino does.
5. Aerie and Wing
Comic book: Suicide Squad (Tom Taylor)
Aerie met Wink on an island where they were both captured and experimented on. The minute Wink saw Aerie, she fell in love with them. Later, Aerie helped Wink become braver than she realized. That bravery allowed both of them (with T.N. Teen in tow) to escape the island where they were dehumanized.
It seems like a lot of superhero love starts with a tragedy. As awful as that is, those moments show what a person is made of and how they’ll react when things get tough. However, Tom Taylor’s Suicide Squad showed how they didn’t let their dark days define them. Instead, Wink and Aerie look back at it as the day they fell in love.
