There are a lot of actors fans would like to see play Batman including Rege-Jean Page, and it’s not hard to see why fans would love to see Page as the Dark Knight!

It’s a strange time to be a DC fan. While the future of DC is looking bright now that James Gunn and Peter Safran have taken over as co-chairmen and chief executive officers of DC Studios, the road to the future of the franchise has been a bumpy one.

As DC looks to build a new shared universe, Gunn and Safran have had to make some difficult choices that have not been easy to accept. We’ve seen projects scrapped and shows canceled, beloved actors cast aside, and there is constant uncertainty about what’s to come for the upcoming slate of films beyond the planned releases.

On the flip side, the future is looking bright with a handful of projects in the works from DC Studios that will introduce new iterations of several iconic characters including Superman and Batman.

While there had been rumors suggesting DC might turn to a former Batman to help lead its new franchise, Gunn has made it clear he’s looking to bring in a brand new actor to portray the Dark Knight.

With it clear a new actor will be tapped to play Batman, there has been a lot of speculation among fans as to who should play the role next. Among those whose name has been tossed into the mix is Rege-Jean Page, whose star has been on the rise ever since his breakout role in Bridgerton made him a household name.

What Rege-Jean Page could look like as Batman

As rumors continue to swirl regarding who should play Batman in the new James Gunn and Peter Safran era of DC Comics films, Bam Smack Pow in-house artist Marvel & DC Fan Art has debuted a new piece of concept art envisioning Bridgerton breakout Rege-Jean Page in the role of the Dark Knight.

In the stunning new art, Page is transformed into the Caped Crusader as he rocks a suit that has clearly drawn inspiration from the Batsuit worn by Michael Keaton but with an updated and modern look. The only thing missing is Batman’s signature cowl, but perhaps that’s for the best given how it covers most of his face.

The concept art makes a compelling case for how amazing Page could be in the role of Batman should DC come knocking. Not only would he make an amazing Batman but his past roles, including Bridgerton, have already shown audiences he also possesses the charm to also pull off the role of Bruce Wayne. (And he definitely checks off all the boxes typically associated with Bryce Wayne those being tall, dark, and handsome.)

Fans have been eager to see Page appear in a superhero franchise and lead a major blockbuster franchise. What better way to make the jump into the superhero pool than playing one of the most popular comic book characters of all time?!
