The Last of Us episode 7 was an important one for Ellie and it also featured a memorable soundtrack. Here are all the songs played in the episode.

Ellie (Bella Ramsey) is one of the only two main characters in The Last of Us. In fact, she may just be the most important character on the HBO series. She is, after all, the key to humanity coming back from the apocalypse.

However, the spotlight has understandably been on the man who is the key to her survival, Joel (Pedro Pascal). But with him severely injured after last week’s episode, episode 7 “Left Behind” places the spotlight on Ellie, giving us some of her backstory and officially introducing us to Riley Abel (Storm Reid).

What might come as a surprise to viewers is the episode’s absolutely fantastic soundtrack. While The Last of Us has already boasted an impressive soundtrack throughout its run, episode 7 is arguably the most packed in terms of recognizable hits. And that (among other things) makes it a lot of fun.

Fans of The Last of Us video game franchise will, of course, recognize the last two pieces of music in the episode from the source material, particularly the second one as it is actually featured in the downloadable content expansion pack The Last of Us: Left Behind – the game which showcases Ellie and Riley’s adventure.
