When does The Mandalorian season 3 come out? (release date and time)

When exactly will The Mandalorian season 3 premiere on Disney Plus?

It’s been quite a long time since The Mandalorian aired new episodes on Disney Plus.

The streaming service’s very first original series, it follows a lone bounty hunter in the outer reaches of the galaxy who is assigned to retrieve the child known as Grogu (a.k.a. Baby Yoda), but he decides to protect it instead. As a result, the pair must live their lives on the run.

The series premiered at the same time as the platform’s launch in the fall of 2019, finding itself on the right end of awe, wonder and critical acclaim. That made the wait for the second season difficult for fans, but it would prove to be worth the wait when it returned the following fall.

Season 3 has taken a little longer to arrive, with both Marvel’s Hawkeye and fellow Star Wars offshoot The Book of Boba Fett taking its place on the Disney Plus calendar in 2021. But it didn’t premiere in 2022 either, so just when can we expect it to air on the service?

The Mandalorian season 3 release date and time

The Mandalorian season 3 will premiere on Disney Plus on Wednesday, March 1, at 12:00 a.m. PT, 3:00 a.m. ET, and 2:00 a.m. CT. It will also stream simultaneously on the service around the world at the exact same time. After the premiere, new episodes will be released weekly at the same time for the next seven weeks.

Production began in October 2021 and concluded in March 2022. While it’s not entirely unexpected for a show the scale of The Mandalorian to take up to a year after completing production to release new episodes, there were a long line of delays prior to that that prevented the third season from coming out sooner. It was initially planned for a 2022 release before being moved to February 2023, and ultimately delayed one more time when it landed on its current March release date.

It’s been a long time coming, that’s for sure, but the wait is almost over – and there is no doubting that The Mandalorian will achieve new highs when it does premiere.
