The Mandalorian is back! It’s a show that felt like it would never return for many people, as it hadn’t aired a new episode since its season 2 finale back in 2020, but the delays only slowed it down, because a comeback was always on the horizon for the first ever Disney Plus original series.
The show returned to the streamer it helped launch this week with its season 3 premiere, which reunited viewers with Mando and Yoda (a.k.a. Din Djarin and Grogu) for the first time since they sent the internet into meltdown with their guest appearances on Star Wars spinoff series The Book of Boba Fett.
The wait for the show’s return may be over, but the wait for episode 2 is just beginning. On that note, here’s when you can expect to tune into the sophomore installment of The Mandalorian season 3.
When does The Mandalorian season 3 episode 2 come out?
The Mandalorian season 3 episode 2, “Chapter 18”, will premiere on Disney Plus on Wednesday, March 8, at 12:00 a.m. PT, 3:00 a.m. ET, and 8:00 p.m. CT. This will carry on for the remainder of the season.
While it’s true that the show used to stream new episodes on the service on Fridays, Disney made the decision to change its primary release day to Wednesdays after the success of Loki season 1. The impact of the Marvel shows since The Mandalorian‘s last season is evident, and it will be interesting to see how – or if – the new release day will affect the Star Wars series.
