8. Jensen Ackles

Jensen Ackles is one of the most beloved actors in nerd culture. It started with him playing Dean Winchester in Supernatural. It continued when he voiced Jason Todd (Red Hood) in Batman: Under the Red Hood. His time as a comic book character didn’t stop there. He played Soldier Boy in season 3 of The Boys on Amazon Prime Video and voiced Bruce Wayne/Batman in Batman: The Long Halloween.

Let’s also not forget that he dressed as Red Hood for Halloween. His costume looked better than some movies with million-dollar budgets. That’s true dedication.

7. Kevin Smith

Director and writer Kevin Smith has been letting his nerd flag fly since the 1990s. All of his movies have had some sort of comic book reference. He even had a Stan Lee cameo (Mallrats). He has also directed episodes of The Flash and Supergirl.

Then there’s his life outside of movies. Kevin Smith opened and owns a comic book shop in his hometown of Red Bank, New Jersey called Jay and Silent Bob’s Secret Stash. The shop ended up getting a reality TV show called Comic Book Men. Don’t expect this trend to ever end. He’s one of the brightest and most well-informed comic book fans of all time.
