The Last of Us episode 8 runtime: How long is episode 8?
The Last of Us episode 8 is the first season’s penultimate episode. Will it be a long one or a shorter one?
Somehow, there are just two episodes of The Last of Us season 1 left. The uber-successful adaptation of the Naughty Dog video game franchise has been tearing up TV screens around the world for the past seven weeks, and we’re not quite ready to let it go yet. Thankfully, it will return for a second season, and before that, we still have two more episodes of season 1 to enjoy.
Speaking of which, we’re about to see the eighth episode, a.k.a. the second-to-last episode of the season. Titled “When We Are In Need”, it’s expected to be another big one for the series as it will introduce the unsettling character known as David. And after last week’s traumatic episode, fans aren’t quite ready for another emotional rollercoaster from The Last of Us.
How long will that rollercoaster last for, though? Will episode 8 be another bumper-length offering or does it have a more standard-length runtime.
How long is The Last of Us episode 8?
The Last of Us episode 8 will have a runtime of 51 minutes. That makes it the sixth episode of the series to go under an hour, and the second-shortest episode of the series thus far.
It’s been well-documented that the show’s runtimes have been a little all over the place, with two episodes having much longer 80 – 85 minute runtimes, while the others have been somewhere between 45 – 60 minutes. That might be down to the fact that the series consists of nine episodes instead of the typical ten, but it’s important to note that even with the inconsistent runtimes, the quality of the show has never suffered.
The runtimes are getting more consistent as the series goes on, and we can’t wait to see what goes down in all 51 minutes of this week’s episode “When We Are In Need”.
