Worlds collide… but in this reality, Henry Cavill’s Superman is nowhere to be found. The Flash synopsis reveals the status of our Man of Steel…

There are a lot of questions about Henry Cavill’s role in the upcoming Flash movie. After Cavill was let go by DC as they look to bring in a new Man of Steel, an end of an era is coming for DC Comics fans. A changing of the guard is coming, but there are still a few projects to come from the old era before the new chapter begins.

With The Flash movie’s marketing campaign kicked in high gear and only a few months away from release, there is an updated synopsis for the Warner Bros. Pictures motion picture. It revealed some interesting things about the status of Henry Cavill’s Superman according to The Direct.

What has happened to Henry Cavill’s Supes?

Aside from the real-world account where Henry Cavill has been dropped from the role of Superman despite the actor’s return in Black Adam. The new synopsis referenced Cavill’s Man of Steel quite minimally.

Not much is known about the whereabouts of Kal-El/Clark Kent, but the description and, of course, the official trailer seemed to hint that the two Barry’s and Michael Keaton’s Batman go on a search for “Clark” but end up finding another Kryptonian instead. The blurb is read as follows:

"“Worlds collide in ‘The Flash’ when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one he’s looking for.”"

It is presumed that due to some temporal anomalies caused by Barry Allen’s travel back in time, it possibly may have wiped baby Kal-El from existence or something else. We are not sure if he survived the planet’s explosion or where his spaceship landed if it escaped at all.

The Flash stars Ezra Miller, Ben Affleck, Michael Keaton, Ron Livingston, Kiersey Clemons, Maribel Verdú, Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Antje Traue, and Rudy Mancuso.

Andy Muschietti is directing from a screenplay by Christina Hodson based on a screen story by Joby Harold, John Francis Daley, and Jonathan Goldstein, Barbara Muschietti and Michael Disco are producing. Marianne Jenkins serves as an executive producer.

The Flash is set to exit the Speed Force and hit theaters on June 16, 2023.
