The Flash season 9 returns to The CW with its sixth episode soon. Here’s all you need to know about “The Good, The Bad and the Lucky”.

We’re nearing the halfway point of The Flash‘s final season and I’m just going to forget I actually said that because I’m not ready to start thinking about the show’s conclusion yet! What we are at an end of, though, is the Red Death arc, as the evil speedster from another timeline’s reign of destruction will seemingly come to an end after the fifth episode.

Showrunner Eric Wallace typically opts for a “graphic novel” approach to tell The Flash‘s stories, meaning that we’re likely due for an interval episode or two before the new, final storyline of the season begins.

That brings us to the sixth episode, and it sounds like it’s going to be an important one for West-Allen fans, as Barry and Iris begin a new chapter of their lives. Before we get into what that could mean for the beloved couple, here is all you need to know about “The Good, The Bad and the Lucky”.

The Flash season 9 episode 6, titled “The Good, The Bad, and the Lucky”, will air on The CW next Wednesday, March 15, at 8:00 p.m. ET. It will be the sixth consecutive episode of the show to air without interruption, but it will also be the last before a one-week hiatus.

This episode sounds like it will be a big one for Barry Allen and Iris West-Allen, with fans speculating Iris is pregnant, kickstarting that Flash Family chapter the show has been building towards for years now. Is little Nora on the way?

Meanwhile, Cecile and Allegra will team up, while Chester helps Khione figure out what she can do.

Here is the official synopsis for the episode released by The CW:

"LUCK BE A LADY – As Barry (Grant Gustin) and Iris (Candice Patton) prepare for their new life, luck changes for those in Central City. Cecile (Danielle Nicolet) takes on a case with Allegra’s (Kayla Compton) help, involving a string of unfortunate – and highly unexpected – events. Meanwhile, Chester (Brandon McKnight) and the team work with Khione (Danielle Panabaker) to figure out her abilities."

The CW released the first batch of photos for the sixth episode of The Flash season 9 after last week’s fourth episode aired on screens. As we have seen in recent weeks, there aren’t many, with the network opting to release just four for now. Usually, more will follow after the episode airs on TV screens.

It looks like Barry and Iris have good news to share with Allegra and Chester. Either that, or they have just returned from holiday, but after the pair have been enjoying many holidays on their Babymoon in recent weeks, something tells us that they may have a major announcement to share with the team.

Are those fan theories true?

Yet again suggesting we’re in for a celebratory episode, Barry and Iris are hosting Chester, Cecile, and Khione (and probably Allegra) in their apartment for a special get-together. Those purple balloons and the smile on Barry’s face suggests there is definitely news worth celebrating.

Smiles all-around, that’s what we like to see!

We already know that Cecile and Allegra will join forces on a case, and this looks like it could be the episode’s central mystery.

We’re hoping we still get to see some Flash action in there, too.

It’s time for Khione to learn more about her powers and what she may be capable of. It’s definitely looking like they have something to do with the weather and / or water.
