Brie Larson

There weren’t many people that put genuine fear in Thanos. One of them was Captain Marvel. When Thanos head-butted Captain Marvel in Avengers: Endgame, she gave him a terrifying look and he was scared. That is the kind of presence that Abby needs in The Last of Us – one that lets everyone around her, and the audience, know that she isn’t someone to be messed with.

Another part of Abby’s personality is being likable. There are times throughout The Last of Us Part II where she is happy and friendly. Despite the anger and rage needed to play her, there are times where she needs to be calm, cool, and collective.

Brie Larson is also a name that has come up in many fan-castings of Abby. This writer believes she would be a great choice for the role, maybe even better than anyone on this list. Larson has an athletic, but slimmer build than Abby. Brie’s definitely strong, but not built like a tank. Nevertheless, we all know better than to underestimate Brie Larson. She’ll find a way to get it done.
