Superman and Lois season 3 is finally upon us. How many episodes are in The CW show’s new season?

Clark Kent, Lois Lane, and their super family are finally back on screens as the third season of Superman and Lois has arrived on The CW.

When we last saw our Smallville favorites, Ally Allston was trying to merge the planet with a mirror dimension known as the Bizarro World. Thankfully, her mission failed when a super solar-charged Superman defeated her in battle, saving two worlds at the same time. As a result, the Kents, Lanes, Irons, and Langs (and all the families of Smallville) can resume living their lives.

As always, a new threat is out there and it’s going to be up to the Man of Steel, Lois, Jordan, and Jonathan to stop it all over again. If you’re ready to strap in for another adventure, how many episodes can you expect it to be?

How many episodes of Superman and Lois season 3 are there?

Superman and Lois season 3 is expected to consist of 13 episodes. This makes it slightly shorter than the previous two seasons which had a 15-episode count (the first season was initially set to have 13 but two more were ordered, which set the show’s average episode count at 15).

Unfortunately, the ongoing changes at The CW means that the network is opting for the standard 13-episode seasons for the vast majority of its shows. Even The Flash, which normally has longer seasons, will conclude its nine-year run with just 13 episodes, and the network also decided against ordering additional episodes of its new shows’ (Gotham Knights, Walker: Independence, and The Winchesters) first seasons.

Superman and Lois season 3 premieres on The CW on Tuesday, March 14, at 8/7c. It will then air a new episode on the network every Tuesday night, joined by new DC series Gotham Knights.
