Batman: All 14 Robin actors ranked from worst to best
From Batman’s beloved sidekick to the triumphant leader of the Titans, we’ve seen a lot of variations of Robin over the years. Which Robin stands out as the best?
Robin has evolved into one of the greatest comic book heroes during his time in the pop-culture spotlight. The original sidekick and partner of Batman, the Boy Wonder first made his debut in the pages of DC Comics way back in 1940 in order to add a more light-hearted element to the Caped Crusader’s adventures. It worked and the “Bird Boy” became almost as popular as the Dark Knight himself – especially as the years have gone on and he has found himself at the forefront of many teen and young adult-focused stories.
There have been multiple iterations of Robin over the years. The first – and most famous – is Dick Grayson (who then goes on to become Nightwing). He was followed by Jason Todd (who was infamously killed off and returned as Red Hood), Tim Drake (who became the Red Robin), Stephanie Brown and Damian Wayne in the main continuity, while Carrie Kelly took up the mantle in the iconic The Dark Knight Returns.
Similarly, we’ve seen plenty of actors step into Robin’s shoes over the years in order to bring the Boy Wonder to life, including the two most recent additions in Titans and Gotham Knights. With that in mind, as we continue to celebrate Batman Day, let’s take a trip through the Bat-Archives (and a lot of “Holy rusted metal!”) to determine which Robins took flight higher than the others.
Note: While there were multiple other actors to voice Robin on TV and in video games, this list will take a look at the most notable performers to do so on the big-screen or small-screen.
