Agatha: Coven of Chaos: Heartstopper star Joe Locke suits up as Wiccan in stunning image

As speculation over who Joe Locke will be playing in Agatha: Coven of Chaos continues to swirl, we now have a look at what Locke could look like as Wiccan.
It’s hard to believe it’s been over two years since WandaVision first arrived on Disney Plus and while the future of Wanda and Vision within the Marvel Cinematic Universe both remains unclear, there is one key character from the series who will be making their way back to the MCU: Agatha, the scene-stealing foil to Wanda’s Scarlet Witch.
In Agatha: Coven of Chaos, fans will get to revisit the breakout character of Agatha Harkness in a new series that will revisit the character and further explore her journey in the MCU. While plot details surrounding the series remain unclear, it’s expected the new series will further explore the mythical side of the MCU and introduce characters connected to Agatha in the comics.
Agatha: Coven of Chaos cast
Leading the cast of Agatha: Coven of Chaos will be Kathryn Hahn who will be reprising her scene-stealing role as Agatha Harkness. She’ll be joined by what is shaping up to be an incredible cast that includes Joe Locke, Aubrey Plaza, Maria Dizzia, Debra Jo Rupp, Emma Caulfield Ford, Ali Ann, Patti LuPone, and Sasheer Zamata.
Who could Joe Locke be playing in Agatha: Coven of Chaos?
At this time, Marvel has not yet announced who Joe Locke will be playing in Agatha: Coven of Chaos but the running rumor among sources is that Locke will be playing an older variant of Wanda Maximoff’s son Billy Maximoff, aka Wiccan. Other characters Locke has been connected to include Nicholas Scratch, Aaron The Sorcerer, Scrier, and Sean Dolan.
Wiccan is a Marvel Comics character who first appeared in 2005. His real name is William Kaplan and he is the son of Scarlet Witch and Vision. He possesses vast reality-warping powers that enable him to alter the fabric of the universe at will. Wiccan is also a member of the Young Avengers, a team of teenage superheroes who fight to protect the world from threats both big and small.
What Joe Locke could look like as Wiccan in Agatha: Coven of Chaos
As rumors continue to swirl regarding the possibility of Joe Locke playing an aged-up version of Wiccan in Agatha: Coven of Chaos, digital artist cap.ironwidow has debuted a stunning piece of concept art that envisions the Heartstopper star in the role of Wiccan.
In the incredible concept art, Locke is transformed into Wiccan in donning the character’s comic-accurate super-suit with his signature electrokinetic powers showcased via the blue-hued magical orb emitting from his hand.
What truly ties the art together is the nod to WandaVision’s Julian Hilliard, who originated the role of Billy Maximoff and delivered a scene-stealing performance in the show’s amazing ensemble.
Agatha: Coven of Chaos release date predictions
When Marvel first announced Agatha: Coven of Chaos, the studio set a release date of Winter 2023 for the WandaVision spinoff series. Should Marvel stick to this release window, it’s likely that the series would arrive sometime in December 2023. Since winter doesn’t technically begin until December 21, this would seem to suggest the show’s arrival likely wouldn’t come until nearly the end of the year.
Now, it’s worth noting that there have been rumors Marvel is looking to delay several of its previously announced Marvel Disney Plus series including Agatha: Coven of Chaos. While it was expected that 2023 would be a massive year for Marvel Studios, the studio seems to be pumping the brakes which could lead to the delayed arrival of several Marvel shows including Agatha: Coven of Chaos.
Rumor has it Marvel might be delaying Agatha: Coven of Chaos until sometime in 2024, which would dramatically change the show’s release date window.
