Wolverine: The Beast Agenda will lead to more problems for the X-Men, Krakoa, and mutants in general.

In the beginning of Wolverine: The Beast Agenda, Hank McCoy, a.k.a. Beast, killed Logan. In the next issue, Logan was brought back via the Resurrection Protocols. Before Hope Summers could give him his memories back, though, Beast intercepted and took Wolverine away. Beast then used him to kill anyone he told him to. However, when Logan remembered who he was, he met with Domino and they went after Beast.

Wolverine No. 30 ended with Wolverine killing Beast, but this wasn’t the end of Hank McCoy. Beast had a clone of himself prepared in case he was killed.

In Issue No. 31 of Wolverine, Hank McCoy knows his actions will lead to his expulsion from Krakoa or life in The Pit. That forces him to do something dramatic: He activates the Beast Agenda. First, X-Force’s base (The Pointe) rises up and walks out of Krakoa (you have to see it to believe it). Next, he releases more clones of himself. Together, they plan to continue protecting mutants by any means necessary. Lastly, and the most deplorable, Beast walks into a room with clones of Wolverine being prepped for activation.

"“Humans will fear me. And many of my fellow mutants will hate me. But I can endure the hate. You can live without love…but you can’t live without hope.” – Beast"

Hank McCoy has stated that he’s okay with doing whatever needs to be done to protect mutants. That means doing things that X-Men won’t, including killing and using his friends. In this case, Logan. Beast didn’t like that Logan continued to threaten to leave Krakoa and, “Abandon his duties.” Beast couldn’t have “Krakoa’s greatest weapon” withdrawing from his post. So he used Wolverine, cloned him, and will probably send him out into the world to murder mutant enemies.

Hank McCoy’s arrogance has blinded him. His idea of protecting Krakoa could lead to more issues with the world. Humanity is already scared of mutants. The fact that thusly now have their own nation didn’t help. Hopefully, X-Force can stop Beast before his clone army breaks an already fragile relationship between mutants and humans. Don’t be surprised when the Beast Agenda is part of what leads to Fall of X.
