He first debuted on the big screen in a feature-length film back in 1966, with Adam West taking his iconic portrayal from the small screen to the big one, and now the Caped Crusader’s newest offerings have come in 2022 with Robert Pattinson putting on the cowl in live-action reboot The Batman and a classic Batman’s substantial return in 2023’s The Flash. A lot has happened in the decades in between, with A-listers like Michael Keaton, Christian Bale and Ben Affleck bringing the dark avenger to life as names like Tim Burton, Christopher Nolan and Zack Snyder directed them from behind the camera.
