White Tiger: Fan casting the three heroes in the MCU
Hector Ayala – Rodrigo Santoro
Hector Ayala was the first person to take on the White Tiger mantle. He was a Puerto Rican man who lived in New York City and was given the magical amulet that transformed him into White Tiger by his ancestor. Hector fought crime alongside the likes of Spider-Man and Daredevil, but unfortunately, his time as White Tiger was cut short when he was wrongfully convicted of murder and sent to prison. It would be fascinating to see how the MCU would portray his origin story and his struggles as a young superhero.
Imagine the MCU story, starting with Hector discovering the amulet while exploring his family’s history and learning about his ancestors’ connection to the mystical world. As he experiments with the amulet’s powers, he attracts the attention of other superheroes, including Spider-Man and Daredevil, who recognize his potential as a crime fighter.
As Hector begins to work alongside these heroes, he would quickly realize the challenges that come with being a superhero. The public does not always trust masked vigilantes, and the police are often quick to suspect them of wrongdoing. It is during one of these misunderstandings that Hector is wrongfully accused of murder and sent to prison.
In prison, Hector faces new challenges as he struggles to maintain his identity as White Tiger while surrounded by dangerous criminals. However, with the help of his fellow inmates, he discovers a new purpose in life and becomes a mentor and role model to those around him.
Rodrigo Santoro is a transformative actor who showed what he’s capable of, particularly from his role in 300, where he played the Xerxes. More people know him as the cowboy bandit Hector in Westworld. He’d nail the role as White Tiger as the story of Hector Ayala could be a powerful exploration of identity, injustice, and the meaning of heroism and lead into the next hero to take the mantle.
