Honorable Mentions: Nicholas Cage, Karan Soni, and John Mulaney

We begin our list with a series of quick honorable mention shoutouts designed to spotlight some of the amazing Spider-Man variants we meet within the animated Spider-Verse franchise: Nicholas Cage as Spider-Man Noir, Karan Soni as Spider-Man India, and John Mulaney as Spider-Ham. While the three characters play supporting roles in the Spider-Verse animated franchise, they left their stamp on the iconic character and deserve to be recognized within this list.

9. Chris Pine

Chris Pine embodies the quintessential characteristics of Spider-Man in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, showcasing the hero’s basic but sincere actions at the beginning of the movie. Pine pays homage to the previous Spider-Man films, including the iconic kiss in the 2002’s Spider-Man movie, stopping the train in Spider-Man 2, and the infamous bad-boy attitude in Spider-Man 3.

Unfortunately, the hero’s appearance is short-lived as he meets his untimely end after coming into contact with Miles Morales. Despite his brief time on screen, Pine’s performance deserves to be mentioned among the ranking — just not too high.

His homage to the previous Spider-Man films is appreciated, and his brief but memorable appearance on screen leaves one longing for more.
