Dream casting Street Fighter so Legendary studios won’t have to
Vega – Diego Luna
This is ambitious but Diego Luna has become a fan favorite after his performances in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Narcos: Mexico. But, it’s time for Luna to step into a darker role as the infamous Vega, a major villain in Street Fighter. Vega is a character with a rich backstory and a unique fighting style that sets him apart from the other villains in the series. While M. Bison may be the primary villain in the Street Fighter franchise, Vega poses a different kind of threat that could make for an exciting main villain in a sequel. Yeah, I’m jumping the gun.
As a narcissistic Spanish assassin, Vega is known for his flamboyant personality and his obsession with beauty. He is a dangerous and skilled fighter, with a unique style that incorporates his claw-like weapon. Vega’s obsession with beauty adds an additional layer to his character, making him a more complex villain than M. Bison. While M. Bison seeks to dominate the world through his Shadaloo organization, Vega is driven by his own personal desires and is a formidable foe in his own right.
Diego Luna’s acting range and intensity make him the perfect candidate to bring Vega to life on the big screen. Although Vega may not be the main villain in a Street Fighter film, he deserves to have his own movie. Luna’s portrayal of Vega would be an excellent addition to any post-credit scene, setting up the possibility of a future Vega-focused film. Street Fighter fans will be eagerly waiting to see how Luna brings Vega to life, and how his character’s story will unfold on the big screen. Rodrigo Santoro and Antonio Banderas would be fantastic as well.
