Juri – Sonoya Mizuno

M. Bison needs his cast of characters who will help him take down team good, Sagat is one and Juri is the second. Street Fighter fans know that Juri is a character who made her first appearance in Super Street Fighter IV. But, her story is pivotal to the franchise in her duality as a character. Juri is a South Korean Taekwondo fighter and a member of S.I.N., a weapons division of Shadaloo, the evil organization led by M. Bison.

In the storyline, Juri seeks revenge against M. Bison for the death of her parents, and she also has a personal vendetta against Chun-Li. She is a very ruthless and sadistic fighter, who takes pleasure in inflicting pain on her opponents, and has cybernetic enhancements that give her incredible speed and strength.

Juri’s unique fighting style, combined with her complex backstory, makes her a popular and intriguing character in the Street Fighter series. She has appeared in multiple Street Fighter games and other media, including the Street Fighter animated series and the Street Fighter X Tekken crossover game.

Fans of House of Dragon may recognize this alluring actress as Mysaria, a liberated adult worker who makes a name for herself as a powerful spymaster. She’s already teetering on the dark side, with Juri she’d have taken it one step closer to crazy. If you need more proof of her talent she also played in some other great films like Netflix’s Maniac as Dr. Azumi Fujita alongside Emma Stone and Jonah Hill. She also played the role of Araminta Lee in Crazy Rich Asians. Given Mizuno’s skills as an actress and desire to play influential and diverse characters, Juri is an ideal role for her.
