Chun Li – Karen Fukuhara

Given how beloved and iconic Chun Li, the actress playing her would have to have a commanding presence, and who better than Karen Fukuhara? Fukuhara’s talent as an actress is undeniable, and her ability to perform physically demanding roles is impressive.

In Suicide Squad, she played Katana, a character known for her deadly sword skills, and fans and critics alike widely praised Fukuhara’s portrayal of the character. Her performance as Kimiko in The Boys also solidified her position as a formidable actress, able to handle complex and emotional scenes with ease. In fact, she doesn’t say a single word, yet she draws us in and invokes some emotions. She’s special and it doesn’t hurt that she has the legs to pull it off.

Chun Li is a character with a rich history in the Street Fighter franchise, and her story is one of determination and strength. As the first female character in the series, Chun Li has become an iconic figure in gaming and pop culture. She’s known for her signature moves, including the Spinning Bird Kick and the Lightning Kick, but her story goes beyond her impressive martial arts skills.

She’s a strong-willed and confident character, but she’s also vulnerable and has a deep sense of justice. Karen Fukuhara’s ability to portray these complex emotions and motivations is one of the reasons why she’s the perfect choice to play Chun Li.
