Gotham Knights episode 4 kicks off with the framed heroes looking for clues about Bruce Wayne’s death. When it looked like they’d come up empty again, luck lent a hand. The Talon’s knife drops and the imprint on the ground is identical to the ones in the deceased’s bodies.

This leads the heroes down the path to a Gotham City serial killer who used the same knives. That takes them to his daughter (Eunice Harmon) who all but confessed that the Court of Owls actually exists. It should be mentioned that the elderly woman put on a perfect performance.

Cressida Clark reveals to Turner that she helped the Court of Owls kill Batman. Cressida snuck poison into Bruce’s food to make him weak enough for the Talon to kill him. As Cressida is telling Turner what’s going on, The Court of Owls reveal themselves. A scene that was flawlessly done.

Sometimes it takes a few episodes for a show to get its stride. This seems to be the case with Gotham Knights. The first three episodes weren’t good. However, there were bright spots. Misha Collins’ Harvey Dent has been great and Olivia Rose Keegan (Duela) has shown signs of brilliance as Joker’s daughter. However, the rest of the cast was ok at best. This all changed in “Of Butchers and Betrayals.” Everyone stepped up and made this an entertaining episode.

Lastly, if you’re a fan of Batman comic books, then the reveal at the end didn’t surprise you. This writer won’t spoil the ending because it’s worth actually seeing.
