Movies on Disney Plus: Avengers: Endgame

If you’ve never watched the final Avengers trilogy movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe or simply want to rewatch it, there’s no time like the present!

The Russo Brothers brought us Avengers: Endgame in 2019. The movie marks the epic conclusion of over a decade of superhero storytelling that’ll leave you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. It picks up exactly where Avengers: Infinity War leaves off, in the aftermath of Thanos’ snap which results in half of the universe being wiped out. The Avengers unite with a group of allies to avenge those who disappeared in the snap and undo all the devastation.

One of the best moments in Endgame is when the remaining Avengers embark on a time heist, as well as all of the super emotional scenes that we won’t spoil for you here in case you haven’t watched it. This movie is the quintessential MCU, and any fan of the superhero genre should check it out.

Movies on Disney Plus: Black Panther (and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever)

In terms of quality, Black Panther and its sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, are the best two movies of the entire MCU. Director Ryan Coogler is simply unmatched, and the world he’s been able to introduce viewers to in the movies is incredible.

The first film came out in 2018 and resonated with audiences worldwide. We get to know the amazing hidden nation of Wakanda, which features advanced technology and a rich cultural heritage. Of course, we all fell in love with the titular character, played by the late and great Chadwick Boseman. With the sequel came so much emotion because of Boseman’s passing in 2020, making it all the more impactful on the MCU.

Black Panther marked the first superhero movie to ever be nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards, and Angela Bassett was honored with a nomination for Best Actress for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Though the movies lost in these respective categories, the fact that they were even nominated for such huge awards is amazing. It’s a testament to how great they really are.
